It was an absolutely beautiful on the ocean. Slick calm on the fish were biting on all fronts. It was our turn to visit the marlin ground. Our charter today was Thad and his wife. They had marlin fishing on their bucket list so off we went. We didn't have our baits all out when we hooked the first white marlin of the day. Thad did a great job of fighting the marlin to the boat. The marlin contiued the bite as we put 7 on the board by 11:30. Then we had a long fry spell. It was 2:30 before we saw another fish. We bagged him and headed for home with a total of eight fish. Outstanding for two people.
On the meat end the boats fishing for tuna were all home early with their limits.
Anybody looking to catch marlin or tuna need to book their charter now. You wait until October, who knows. The fish are biting now.
