It was a beautiful day on the gulfstream. We had a choice to make this morning, either south for meat or north for marlin. I made the choice to go south. When we arrived at the point the water was a cloudy green. I had hoped it would be clear. Before we had all our baits out we had a wahoo on. Our angler fought the fish all the way to the boat only to have the tooty critter bite the leader in two as the mate was reaching for the gaff. The fish looked to be at least fifty lbs plus. Bummer! The next strike was a wahoo also, and he likewise bit the leader in two. Not a great start to the day. As the day progessed we managed to catch 1 out of 4 wahoo bites and 8 nice blackfin tuna. Now for the north end report. One boat caught 5 out of 10 marlin bites and several wahoo. The wahoo bite up nort was really good and that is a strange occurence. Go figure. The wind is blowing hard here today and the boats remained at the dock. I hope that it will fall out for tomorrow so we can get back out. I only have one day available for this week, which is Monday. If you looking for a great fishing trip give me a call. Capt. Dick P.S. Pics later
