Here it is the last day of December and I haven't fished since the 5th of November. Lots of bad timing with the weather and my wife haveing had both knees replaced. Last Friday looked like it was going to be a go but the swell remained at 7 foot just outside the inlet so the two other boats going decided not to try it and left me with the decesion of weather to go it alone. Winter time is a big difference than the summer with the water being so cold you wouldn't last long if something bad happened and you were forced overboard. I elected to play it on the safe side and we stayed at the dock with everyone else. I feel like it is better to err on the side of caution and be safe than take the chance and make a bad mistake. Oh well. Another reason that also factored into the decision was the gulfstream had moved down south a good bit not leaving us a great area to fish. Today it looks like the stream has shoved back up a good way and is in a much better position. If there is anyone that wants to give it a try give me a call, we have several days available this month. It looks like the bluefins have finally started their southbound migaration and the next trip out could defintely be a "reel" shot at catching the first one of the season. If you have never experienced the thrill of seeing and catching these giants, put it on your bucket list. It is a thrill well worth the money. Have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR, Capt Dick
