What a great weekend we experienced. The weather and the fishing co-opereated. It seems that rarely happens lately. I forgot my camera on Saturday so unfortunately, no pics. the fishing was outstanding, with limits of tuna and nice gaffer dolphin being caught.
Sunday brought even calmer seas and once again really good fishing. Fishing with us on Sunday was James Wilkinson and his entire family plus Douglas. (Elizabeth's boyfriend)The day started a little slow but the dolphin strikes provided some early action. As the day progessed the Tuna begam showing up in the middle of huge packs of sharks. If you presented the baits just right the tuna would attack the hooks and give us oustanding action. Emily, Spencer, Elizabeth, and Doug did great jobs fighting their fish all the way to the boat and bringing them to the gaff. Now my tennis playing mother, Bridgette, had to wrestle one tuna half way to the boat and have it release itself before it could be gaffed. A lot of effort with a bad result. The next tuna hooked had a happier ending for the matriarch of this crew. She wrestled the fighting tuna all the into the fish box. James took forver to get his fish in but what can you expect from the oldest member of the party. Ha! Ha! It was really the kind of day that you wish every charter could experience.
I have one day open this week. the weather looks great, give me a call.
