Thank the good Lord the weekend is over. I sure made a mess out of it. Friday wasn't too bad as we made an around the world fishing tour from east of the inlet to the point and then into Rodanthe area for some cobia. Thank the Lord again for the cobia. They saved our day. Fun sight fishing for them. We saw lots and ended the day with a great catch.
Saturday the charter didn't want to fish for cobia, they wanted just red meat. So we rode around all day for two bites from the tuna. There was a little showing of the fish that afternoon but we just couldn't coax a bite out of the tuna. I fished until 3:45 with no luck. Sorry guys but we gave it all we had,
Now comes Sunday. I made a mistake in my booking and ended up with no charter. It was a lonely feeling. To add insult to injury the tuna bite was really outstanding as boats came in early with their limits. Good grief what next. I decided not to take a trip Monday and do some work on the boat the next three days. You know what happened today? You guessed it. Limits of tuna and back to the dock by noon. My luck has got to turn sometime. I'll be back at the fishing center Wednesday afternoon. See you then.
